Our Story
The Way Church was planted in March 2024 by David, Hillary and their 2 boys with the love, support, prayers and a small team sent from Kingdom Life Church.
Our heart as a church is to seek out the truth of the Word of God (the Bible) and order the way we live our lives around relationship with Jesus and the example that he demonstrated for us.
We see that Acts 2:42 outlines God's intended model for the early church:
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship,
and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
We consider these values of love for God's word, fellowship and prayer as an essential foundation that underpins everything we do at The Way Church.
From verse by verse study of the bible, regular fellowship together around a table and weekly prayer together as a church we seek to always follow God's biblical blueprint.
We walk in relationship with New Convenant Ministries International (NCMI); a trans-local ministry team, with an apostolic heart, that is comprised of men and women who, through partnership, help pastors/elders build their local churches to equip and mobilise believers for the fulfilment of the work of the Kingdom.
OUR LEADERS
David and Hillary Pounder
David is serving as the visionary Elder for The Way Church, alongside his wife, Hillary, and their two young boys, Levi and Liam.
Dave and Hillary both had personal experiences with Jesus as children, but spent their teens and young adult life living far from God.
Coming back to Jesus and the word of God in their late 20's/early 30's saw their life radically turned around and they have passionately served and followed him ever since.
David and Hillary have served as part of the eldership team at Kingdom Life church before being released to plant The Way Church with the love, blessing and full support from Kingdom Life.
They share a passion for looking to the scripture for truth and transformation in all circumstances, and living a life that authentically follows Jesus through all of life's experiences and circumstances.
